Celebrating New Years with Style!

January 1, 2009 at 12:00 am This picture just cracks me up.
We are quite the classy family, aren't we? Sarah's sporting the "rock on" sign (or whatever that means). Daniel is in shorts and barefeet out in the cold and rain, pointing fireworks at his sister's head. Jon is, well, for lack of a better word...screwed. He injured his knee while at work and is unable to move it or walk on it. Hopefully, we'll have MRI results soon. Oliva is just plain crazy. She's outside at midnight in her PJs and pink dress-up ballerina slippers yelling,
"Happy New Years!"

Our New Year's Eve consisted of countless hours of battling each other in Guitar Hero, movies, popcorn, rootbeer and fireworks.

Doesn't get much better than that!

HAPPY 2009!
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:8-12

Christmas at Grandma Donna's

~Christmas #5~
I have to admit Christmas at Jon's mom's house is something I always look forward to. Donna is so sweet. She knows I've spent the last few days baking and cleaning, hosting and cooking a big Christmas meal for my family. She knows I'm worn out and always insists I bring nothing at all. Believe me, she is one stubborn woman and there's no use arguing with her. It is so nice to show up at her house on Christmas afternoon and just RELAX and put our feet up!
Jon, his sister, Carey, and the girls

Daniel is soooo excited about his new lego set.

Christmas Day was simply wonderful!

Christmas with Grandpa D.H.

~Christmas #4~

Grandpa gave Olivia an adorable princess tea set, with a tea cart to boot. She has been wheeling this around the house ever since, and offering us delicious cups of tea. Daniel and Sarah were very excited about their new books from Grandpa. He knows just what kind they like. A blurry, but sweet picture of Jon and his dad.

Christmas with Liz's Family

~Christmas #2~
Yes folks, this is my little brother Ben. He is a senior at Seattle Pacific University and is a really cool guy and an amazing, gifted musician. Because of this, and his occasional choice to wear tight jeans, Sarah bought him a Jonas Brothers poster in hopes that he might pursue stardom amongst 9-13 year old girls. What do you think?

Christmas Memories

Our family had a wonderful Christmas together. You'll have to bear with me, I have so many pictures from Christmas and I just want to share them all. :)

So, just a little heads up, if you are not related to us, you may find the next five posts rather monotonous. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Here we go, Christmas 2008 in review...
