I just typed out this long post about what's been going on in my life over the past 12 weeks (since I know you're just dying to find out). One hour later, I click to publish and...it posts the older version that I started earlier in the day, which was two sentences long!!! My long, beautiful, witty post...GONE! Where did it go? I don't know, I have no idea what happened. I DO know that I'm tired, frustrated and have to get up in five hours, so I will try to re-create that wonderful post another day.
Well, I'll give you Part 1.
Here are the top 5 excuses why I haven't blogged in over 12 weeks:
1. I started working full time on August 18th
2. My camera broke in August AND our home computer got sick and died a few weeks ago :(
3. I'm a political junkie
4. Daniel started middle school
5. Feelings of stress and exhaustion on a daily basis. (I'm working on this, okay)
You will just have to wait in nail-biting suspense until tomorrow, and I will fill you in on how these 5 reasons are related to my shameful lack of blogging.
The good news: Today is November 3rd and I read Psalm 103, one of my all-time favorite Psalms! I just had to share the whole thing and highlight some of my favorite parts. I hope you take the time to read through it. Wherever you're at, whatever you're going through, this Psalm will lift you up and remind you of God's faithfulness and goodness. It's worth the read:
Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul and forget not all his benefits-
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever

he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field;
the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children-
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children-
with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
The LORD has established his throne in heaven and his kingdom rules over all.
Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.
Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

And what blog post is complete without an adorable picture? Olivia and her dear friend Ella on Halloween with their matching dolls...so precious!
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
