Public Service Announcement

Out of the kindness of my heart, I would like to share some beneficial information with you, my dear blog readers....all 5 of you. This is just too good to keep to myself. Now this will only be of good use to you if you live in Salem:

drum roll please...

On Wednesday, February 27th, Dutch Brothers AND Java Crew in West Salem are giving away free drinks all day!!!
They are both on Wallace Rd. and only about 200 yards away from each other. You could wait in line at Java Crew, get your Super Quad Iced Mocha with whip cream, and then drink it in your car while you wait in line at Dutch Brothers .

Since I know most of you are just as heavily addicted to caffeine as I am, I thought you would find this information to be very useful. No need to thank me, it's just a little perk you get for reading my blog. See, aren't you glad you stopped by?

Well now you've got me wishing I lived back in Salem again! But here I am, in the Portland area, just a couple of minutes from a Starbucks drive-thru where the coffee is so good that sometimes I forget it's not free and I just go all the time. Oops!

They BOTH are giving away free coffee...Wednesday is going to be one happy day!!! Or a day to stay off Wallace!!!

What about those of us who aren't anywhere near either one of those places?!

Have a free one, I mean TWO drinks for me!! :)

The only thing that will keep me up tonight is wondering what drive though to visit first.

You will find me and my three kids in both lines on that day. See you all there.

So sad that I will not be able to particpate!

I love your new springy look. When I used the pyzam template, I lost all my side bar information, how did you keep it all?

LizzyG said...

Yeah, I lose it all too. I just copy and paste my sidebar into Word. Then it's real easy to copy and paste it back into the layout. Except for the links, I have to re-ener all those one by one. I'm not too crazy about all this pink, but I'm too lazy to change it again.

Thank you!!!
Both sound wonderful...one after I drop the kids off, and one after I pick them up!

Love the new look!!

I like your new layout, esp the springy picture on your header.

And yes, I am so excited I stopped by your blog. We are in Dallas so it will be worth the short drive to West Salem for free coffee tomorrow! Woo hoo!!

Drink one for me!

I'd love to say that it's so worth it, but I have to admit I'm a very stubborn and impatient person. I want my coffee now. I can't even imagine what the wait will be like.

I can't handle the lines on free coffee day. I'm the type to go to some specialty gourmet shop and pay a bundle instead of braving the long line.

Thanks for the nod on Jill's comments as the lone male in blogland, I think you may be right on that one.

Oh, Jonathan. Not all of us are young, single, independently wealthy, world travelers ;)

Someday, dear boy, you will be married, blessed with children, and living on a budget. And you will consider it pure joy to only have to wait in a long line in order to save $3....someday.

Alright lady, none of this "you're thinner than me" nonsense. You weigh 127 and you're planning on losing more??? I bet the last time I weighed 127 I was in 7th grade, I kid you not.
My only guess here is that I must be about a foot taller than you because I weigh a lot more. Plus can we please talk about how jealous I am that you're a runner? I'm jealous.
If I go running (I know this because I tried it once) I can keep up an impressive pace past the neighbors' houses that I know and around the corner before I need to walk and catch my breath. What's the trick?

LizzyG said...

First of all, thanks for broadcasting my weight to all of blogland. Second, I'm 5'2"!!! Do you know what that amount of weight looks like on someone that short? Let's just say I'm not long and lean like you. When I eat a meal, there's nowhere for it to spread out. I swear, I think I gain weight every time I eat! Oh well, I really don't stress about it much. I had 2 Heath Dilly Bars today....mmmmm, so good.
And about running, well I've learned this the long and hard way: consistency. If all you can run is a 1/2 mile, then great! Run a 1/2 mile 3-5 days a week, and then in a few weeks you'll be able to run 1mile, then 2, then 3, and before you know it we'll be running the Boston Marathon togethter :)

Ok, I'm a dork. I read your comment on someone else's blog about Donna, and then I just put two and two together with the help of my hubby. I had no idea your husband is Donna's son! Geesh - took me long enough! Your mother in law is one of those few at my old-work that I miss seeing. She was always so sweet (even when she is begging officers to take an overtime shift!).
